With the Crown Estate actively exploring a potential new leasing round for Offshore Wind, this event will discuss the opportunities and challenges that may arise from new developments for businesses in the Liverpool City Region.

Our guest speakers will be sharing their views and insights on these potential opportunities in the Offshore Wind supply chain both in the Liverpool Bay Area and across the UK, in addition to suggestions on how to become part of them.

The Transformative Sector Deal for the Offshore Wind Industry is ambitiously aiming for one third of the UK’s electricity to be generated from offshore wind by 2030. This is more than doubling its capacity from 14GW deployed or contracted today, to 30GW by 2030. This scaled up ambition will have a direct impact on supply chain productivity and efficiency, whilst also making UK businesses more globally competitive as Offshore Wind generation increases internationally.

Our speakers from Ørsted, Hutchinson Engineering and Offshore Painting Services, will deliver a comprehensive view of the Offshore Wind supply chain, sharing their journey in the industry and their perspectives on the challenges that lay ahead – from the need to reduce costs and increase productivity to become competitive in the supply chain, to recruiting the right skills for the sector’s needs.

Breakfast will be provided.

Speakers:

Peter Clusky – Senior Supply Chain Development Manager, Ørsted

David Oswin – Business Development Manager, Hutchinson Engineering

Alison McNulty – Training Operations Manager, Offshore Painting Services

Pedro Rivera – Project Manager, LCR Future Energy
